DAY 1+2 - Road ahead of us, for ours. / TAG 1+2 - Brummmmmm.....

12. & 13. June 2021

 

Before I tell ya about our packing chaos and how and when we finally hit the road, I wanted to show you what kind of tour we have a head of us and how we are traveling. So far the picture above shows you our road - as Mum says it is all WIP (work in progress) or TBC (to be decided) and as Emanuel keeps saying, let's see from Portugal onwards where the wheels will take us, but a first draft was made and the road above was created. We will be travelling 50 days in total along the coastlines of Spain and Portugal and I cannot wait to dip my feet in the ocean at all those beaches. We will live in the cool CLUB caravan my mum bough earlier this year, which is from 1995 and was remodelled to look nice by the interior designer Sarah Menz who wrote "Caravan Makeover" a cool book where our CLUB is actually prominently feautured, Mum didn`t know at the time when she bough it and now she is a little brought of owning such a cool caravan, I actually am not a fan of the pink, but like the van, also featured in the pic, but the caravan wouldn't be half as cool, if it didn't have its horse powered DEFENDER 110 pulling it, the other love of Emanuel.

We finally hit the road Saturday night at 10pm the latest Emma wanted to leave as not to enter France to late, because of the Corona regulations and closures - so you can actually currently only drive in France from 6am to 9pm and we wanted to use all that time in case something happens. We wanted to wait longer in case the baby of Emma's sister would come home, he was born a couple of days ago and we really wanted to meet him, but unfortunately he had to stay in the hospital a little longer. Anyway, Marcus and my grand parents (Moma & Pepe) helped a lot packing and getting everything done and we finally managed to leave Schenefeld/Hamburg and hit the road - I have never travelled that long in a car, but fortunately Mum had downloaded all the "??? kids" stories for me so I could listen to those in the car. My sister Aya was totally fine and pretty relaxed being in the car for so long - which was kinda cool and am really proud being her big bro. We saw so much beautiful landscape along the road, bridges, rivers and then ONE lonely tree. I fell asleep sometimes and Mum and Emanuel were having fun, I think they love roadtrippin as Mum calls it. Anyway, over 18 hours and 4-5 stops later we finally arrived in...

....Lacanau. Our camping "LES GRANDS PINS" welcomed us with its beautiful sight and an amazing sun set. I helped to set up the electricity and our first new home under trees was ready to be lived and adventured. We actually made it to the sun set behind the dunes right away and back at our spot fell as sleep totally exhausted.

Moin Moin, 

oben seht ihr unsere Reiseroute - ist alles noch IA (in Arbeit) oder wie Mama häufig sagt TBC (to be decided, wird noch entschieden), aber damit ihr schon mal einen Plan habt wo wir ungefähr lang fahren. In dem CLUB Wohnwagen von 1995, den Mama der Sarah abgekauft hat, die sogar ein Buch veröffentlicht hat ("Caravan Makeover") wo auch unser Wohnwagen mit abgebildet ist - und gezogen wird der von Emanuels zweiter Liebe und meinem Lieblingsauto, dem DEFENDER 110. Drinnen ist er sehr gemütlich und ganz in meiner Farbe, zart rosa:-) Meine Kuscheltiere finden den auch super und ich habe mich schon ziemlich schnell an ihn gewöhnt, in dem Bett wo mein großer Bruder schlummert, kann ich mich sogar austoben, ist wie ne große Spielwiese und durch die Türen kann ich nirgends runter fallen.

Aber zurück zu unserer Reise: wir wollten noch warten und schauen, ob wir nicht noch Tante Tamaras Baby kennenlernen können, leider musste es noch ein wenig länger im Krankenhaus sein. Aber bald lernen wir ihn kennen. Ich sag mal, packen dauerte etwas, aber dank Markus und Moma und Pepe ging es dann endlich um 22 Uhr los. Papa wollte unbedingt dann los, weil er rechtzeitig in Frankreich sein wollte, die haben ja zur Zeit Sperrstunde wegen Corona und da darf man nur zwischen 6-21 Uhr Auto fahren. Außerdem meinte er noch irgendwas mit Paris und da würde es voll werden und wir sollten da rechtzeitig sein. Auf jeden Fall sind wir dann los gefahren - hier ein paar Eindrücke....

Finni und ich haben die meiste Zeit geschlafen, war auch wirklich cool und beruhigend dieses "Brummmmmmm....brummm..." Mama und Papa haben häufig quatsch gemacht und dann war da plötzlich dieser einzelne Baum und Papa hat seinen besten Kumpel Konsti angerufen und mit über den Baum gelacht, ich war ganz aufgeregt - meine erste richtige Reise mit meiner Familie und so viele Eindrücke. Nach ziemlich langer Zeit und 4-5 Pausen, waren wir dann endlich da, in....

...Lacanau. Unser Campingplatz "LES GRANDS PINS" ist ziemlich cool, wie cool, erfahrt ihr im nächsten Post. Papa und Finni haben erstmal aufgebaut und ich habe mit Mama gespielt, wir sind dann noch los zu diesem Geräusch, was mich an Mamas Bauch irgendwie erinnerte, es wurde windiger und alle waren ganz aufgeregt und dann schien die Sonne so schön und Mama rief "Da ist das Meer!". Ich glaube das Meer macht die Menschen glücklich, ich atmete auf jeden Fall etwas Salz gepaart mit Aufregung und etwas Glücklich sein ein und schlief ziemlich entspannt und glücklich bei Mama im Arm ein und später legte mich Papa dann in unseren CLUB und ich kuschelte mich da in die Decke. Endlich sind wir am Meer.

Today was my last day in the Kita - our German kinder garden. Even though I cannot speak English yet, my thoughts can be in English my mum told me. So here we go - my name is Finnian Lasse Antares, but you can call me Punktschnee or „Fast immer Hunger“ (EN: „almost always hungry“). I received a large special school bag today in form of a shark from my Kita buddies and teachers, they sent every school-kid-to-be over a special bow into the big „Next Chapter“ and I can tell you I am totally stoked to go to school soon, BUT before that adventure, we are about to head off to another adventure and I have been dreaming about this one for quite some time now. My little sister Aya, my mum and her boyfriend (I call him my Mum‘s partner in crime:-)) will be traveling by „Defender + Club“ from Schenefeld, near Hamburg to Portugal. Yes, you heard correctly - from Germany to Portugal, by car. We have got 7 weeks  + 1 day to do so - so 50 days in total. Tomorrow is our last day here at home and then we will be hitting the road. Mum is super stressed out packing, washing and getting everything ready and Emanuel - short „Emma“ (he really likes to be called that way), is repairing everything on the defender and caravan and I am trying to help out. As you can tell, we are a patch work family and pretty lucky to have all this time now and to be able to travel again in times of Corona, fortunately the situation has improved a lot, mum and Emma are fully vaccinated and the virus is somewhat under better control, at least that is what I hear in the news and what mum and Emma tell me, but we still need to wear masks almost everywhere where we are close to other people. The masks don’t bother me that much though, but I cannot wait until we can finally get rid of them completely. I will keep you posted along the road. Hallo Ihr!

Ich bin Aya - eigentlich kann ich noch gar nicht schreiben oder sprechen, denn ich bin erst acht Monate alt. Aber ich denke ganz schön viel, pupse zwischendurch und beobachte unglaublich gerne und viel. Aktuell sind hier Zuhause alle ganz aufgeregt, Mama wäscht ganz viel Wäsche und Papa ist ständig draußen am Defender und am Wohnwagen am reparieren von irgendwelchen Sachen. Mein Bruder ist auch ziemlich aufgeregt. Er spricht zur Zeit voll laut und hüpft ganz glücklich durch die Gegend. Ich glaube wir fahren bald auf eine längere Reise, dass würde das ganze Durcheinander erklären. Ich werde auf jeden Fall weiter beobachten und euch berichten. Immerhin tragen jetzt schon weniger Menschen diese komischen Stofffetzen im Gesicht und ich kann die Münder und Nasen wieder sehen, wobei drinnen oder wenn mehr Menschen auf einem Haufen sind, ich immer noch nur leider die Augen sehen kann. Denke das hat was mit irgendeiner Krankheit zu tun, Mama und Papa sind auf jeden Fall seit ein paar Wochen entspannter, was das angeht und wir sehen auch wieder meine Omi, meine MoMA und Pepe mehr. Das finde ich super. Bis morgen.
